Pancreatitis

Pancreatitis is one of the leading cause acute pain abdomen. Common causes are gall stones and alcohol. Other rare causes are viral infection, obesity ot trauma. Patient usually have very severe upper abdominal pain radiating to back associated with nausea and vomiting. This type of patients usually require urgent hospitalisation for treatment. Inadequate and incomplete treatment may endangers patients life. Most of the patients will recover with conservative treatment , some patients will require Surgery in the form of lap chole for gall stone and pancreatic necroosectomy of dead and infected pancreas. We have vast majority of experience in managing these type of patients with excellent outcome.
